To Mingle or not to mingle?

I have recently come out to a great number of my friends (they are all fine with it) but they've pointed out something that I do (or rather don't do).

I avoid the other gay guys at my school. The ones who are open about it, I avoid because I think they are too 'bitchy'. They just seem like the type that would talk behind your back and someone you couldn't really trust. But the Bi-guys/girls and lesbians I get along with just fine.

Now I think I have a good judge of character (I choose my friends wisely) some of my friends think that I should 'mingle' with them more, and maybe I'd have a chance of landing a boyfriend. I don't think I should but they do have a good point.

I wanna get a few more opinions before I do anything. So...what does LGBT think?

Talk to them, just keep really personal stuff to yourself till you know

There's nothing wrong with not talking to them. Not everyone gets along. There is no rule stating that just because you are gay that you have to hang out with the other gays. I myself can't really stand being around "flamers" who think they are a female in a man's body.
