If you are not engaging in commerce, you can't use the commerce clause. Also. the whole point of the Constitution is to establish the limits of the FEDERAL government. Why trade one tyrant (the King of England) for another?
Thomas Jefferson- Too bad you aren't as smart as your avatar. It's quite the shame that you cannot tell the difference between the State powers in the Constitution and the Federal powers. Also, If you do not own a car, you do not have to buy insurance. DUH!!!!!
rejected- Again, I get to decide whether or not I want to buy insurance. What you are not arguing is my point of the FEDERAL government forcing me to buy something. Jeez.
User Prime- Do you have a car? IF not, you DO NOT have to buy insurance. ALSO: It is not a FEDERAL mandate to buy insurance. it is a STATE one. If you could read the Constitution before you answer my question that would be very helpful. Maybe even read my question before you submit your knee-jerk reaction. Thank You.
Hack Wilson- What question are you answering? Do the liberals get to take anything they want to support their agenda? In real life that is called stealing and you would be thrown in jail. In DC it is just another day. Besides, you don't even look at my question just give me a bunch of socialist crap. And I thought maybe, just maybe, liberals would actually use logic instead of emotion. I am so disappointed and yet, not really.
---------- Are you really this ignorant? That is a STATE mandate. Does the FEDERAL government now control whether or not you have car insurance? Oh wait, if I don't have a car, I don't need insurance. Huh.......go figure.
Islam Delenda Est- Crybaby- Not really a credible argument since there is no DRAFT. Could you make it just a little harder for me to kick your ---.
Steph- When you don't buy something you are NOT engaging in commerce. OK?
Paradox- Ahhhhh.....so the government can force me to buy insurance because I am still breathing. Did you read the question at all?
burntbla.....- Are you high now? Because this really has nothing to do with my question.
