Khorana's experiment was to find out the codes for amino acids in order to make a polypeptide chain that was made into a protein. He made a artificial mRNA with the codon "uuu" repetitively to see what would happen, sure enough it made a amino acid and blah blah blah...
Because Khorana did not know any codons or that amino acids were made of nucleotides, how did he make the amino acids with just the repticitive uuu if he didn't no the start codon 'AUG', since he was trying to find out what codes stand for what?? I dont know if Ive explained this enough, but I found it interesting... any idea???
