to big for his baby car seat...?

my 6 month old is getting to long for his car seat. i was just wondering when it would be suitable to put him in an upright car seat? he can sit up on his own. thanks
 
if he can sit up you can get him a convertable carseat that will last him til he is 100 pounds.
 
get a convertable car seat that can rear face. even if his leg hang off or are bent it's fine. it's best to leave them rear facing for as long as possible. convertable car seats are made for older babies and can be rear facing and turn into forward facing ones.
