Hi Captnanny,
I take one dose a day. Every morning I take 16mg. I've always taken it only once a day. When I first started out, I took 8mg, all at once. After a few days, I went up to 12mg, then up to 16 a few days after that. I felt good the first day, noticed a wonderful difference and within a week, I was feeling great.
I'm not saying your doctor is giving you your Sub wrong, however it seems weird that you take it twice a day. I've only known people to take it once a day, every day, but then again I live in Canada and we've only had Suboxone for just over a year. It may be different in the U.S.
I received all my info about Suboxone from this board - the majority being from the U.S. - Most folks said they felt better right away, started at 8mg/day then moved up to "their dose" fairly quickly. I still think you aren't taking enough Sub, but I'm not a doctor and could be wrong.
From the first day, I was able to sleep like a baby (something I couldn't do before), had alot of energy and essentially felt "like me again." The second day on Sub, I was out at the park, playing soccer with my daughters. I could not believe how great I felt.
When you get a chance, ask your doctor why he/she has you taking Sub twice a day. Ask about the benefits of taking it once a day. I hope you're able to figure out the right dose quickly cause you are not supposed to feel this way on Sub.
One more thing - I didn't have the cloudy feeling you descibed. Hopefully, more Suboxone patients will reply to your thread. You only have two scenarios (mine and Jolo's) so it's hard to assume what's normal and what's not.
I'll be thinking of you (and Jolo), hoping you both get better soon
