It's been a while since I've actually hunted pigeons, I mostly go for rabbit in the Spring now. I have a .22 12 ft lb Weihrauch HW57 air rifle with a 9x10 zoom scope mounted on it. I'm using a pellet called uccupell, a domed head pellet which mushrooms in contact with flesh. I've killed hundreds of rabbits with it, and now am planning to go back onto wood pigeon. Some good techniques and baits to lure pigeons. My garden is around 50 yards long, and 50 yards from a public highway. I have a small trellis at the bottom which forms a good hide as it is behind a neat row of conifer trees. What are some good techniques to luring the pigeons down quickly, and what food do they prefer, this is wood pigeons, I am planning to eat them, as I would not let them go to waste. Thank you.
