I have an unlocked iPhone 3G. I can make phone calls and text using the tmobile prepaid number. however,I wanna know whether i can use the internet service on my iphone or not? is that a 3G network or EDGE network? is there data plan or something?

I just change my plan from pay as u go to the sidekick (which i consider has the internet features)it charges 1 dollar a day.
so that means now i can use the internet on my iphone? is there any data limit?or unlimited data?
