tmobile phone that reqires data plan?

i currently have a tmobile phone, but i dont have a data plan. i want to get the motorola cliq which reqires a data plan. if i get the phone from ebay or best buy when i put my sim card in it will i automatically have a data plan added to my account?
 
If you use the data you will be charged. I dont think T-Mobile adds them.

How much data do you need? Tzones is the cheapest, but its all mobile internet only. If you go with a pda/bb/sk, you get full internet, but it also costs more than the basic tzones service. I think this is how the pricing breaks out.

Tzones- 5.99
BB/sk - 19.99 with voice plan(29.99 without)
PDA- 29.99 with voice plan
