First off, I have NEVER heard that. All this "text message" is is jumbled characters that the myFaves phones can read and interpret as your contacts, then you get a real text saying your contacts have been updated. The network doesn't know the difference as to whether your phone has correctly interpreted the SMS
Are you referring to indirect dealers or corporate reps? I know I get paid regardless of the phone they have. Indirects may have it different, but corporate doesn't technically have those restrictions.
