Tmobile dash 3g help?

i am about to upgrade to a t-mobile HTC dash 3g, and i'm wondering does the t-zones or web2go work on the dash, and also when im about to buy the phone from the tmobile website it says in red that a data plan is required, can i just buy the phone and be fine or will i also have to buy a data plan when i check out, Btw i already have t-zones on my gravity
