I have installed the new OS 4.2 and its working very much fine but still its beta as they say.. waiting for new...

Also, anyone know what the difference is between the 4.2 and the 4.1?

Does anyone have 4.1.0.346 OS. I don't like the new 4.2 interface and want to go back to the OS that this came with.

t-mo has it ava log on to tmo and download it from them ..

ROVAKL: Apparently there were some bugs with the 4.2 and they took it down and put the 4.1 back up for now... so if you want it, now's a good time to go and grab it! (I have it though if it's no longer up there... let me know)

FLORIDADOMER: there are several differences between the 2, the media filing structure is my favorite!

THanks to doughdaddy I've been running 4.2 on my pearl for about a month with no problems. Go here:

for the download. All you have to do is delete the vendor file (vendor.xml file located in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader ) after you download the OS and before you install it using DM - I think that's already been covered in this thread.
