TMO MyFaves problem on Pearl?

I just got my new pearl less than a week ago. I was trying to add my last myfave and it kept giving me an error. So I added the last one on the website. Now the Myfaves on my phone are messed up. One little circle thing is just blue and I can;t access it, and one of my MyFaves is messed up. Has anyone with Tmobile had a similar issue and if so how did you resolve it?

Back up your device w/ the desktop manager. Wipe your device on BB >options>security options> general settings > press menu>wipe handheld>continue>type blackberry. Then restore info from the desktop manager.
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~it is a known OS problem. RIM is working on the prob. Wiping the handheld DOESN'T fix it. I finally went in and changed all the icons. This of coarse after wiping the handheld twice and driving the techs crazy at TMO. Just have to wait until the next OS comes out.
 
actually what you need to do is back up the information like everyone saidd o do and then wipe the device clean after you do that go to http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade then go to your device, and download the most current os, and reload it on your phone and then restore your software.
 
I looked at that and that is the OS I'm running on my BB should I still do that? I've also never done anything like that before and am very scared messing something up...any tips or pointers? Thanks so much.
 
Yes that will work. It was a glitch and by reloading the software u r fixing the issue. Just follow the instructions. Its easy to do if you run into any problems just pm me~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
Another quick fix is to open up one of your MyFaves contacts, press menu, select "Change Order" and move the icon to the seemingly empty spot on the myfaves UI -- then exit and save.. it should show all your icons (if only one was missing)

If more than one is missing or blank continue that step for each blank spot and it should fix it without app loader.

Either way, neither is a perm. fix at all.

I have the blank blue one as well so I just went on my media thing where I stored my pics, picked one and added it as myfaves pic and picked the number that I was sure the blue one was supposed to be (my bfs number).anyway,now its not blue anymore and instead his pic! Better than looking at a blue circle! But I'm scared to update the myfaves cause I know it will eff it up for sure again. But yeah I just hid the myfaves icon so I won't be constantly be annoyed and reminded of this annoying predicament. Heh hopefully the new tmo os would come out soon.
 
I too have a "missing" icon. When I go to highlight it, it will show a yellow circle, but it's basically 'see through'. I can not click on it to edit or anything. I tried to refresh...nothing. Tried changing the order...made someone else disappear. TMO didn't seem to know much, they put in a fix-it ticket. I was considering wiping it clean, but will that take out everything, including the MyFaves? If so, once I reload what I backed up on desktop manager, will it come back? I'm just as nervous about messing with it and screwing up everything. I've only had the phone since May and it seems to have more problems then ever.
 
just did a wipe on my handheld which was pretty simple to do. for people who are afraid to wipe, its really easy nothing to be scared of. however i think my default fav pictures changed but no big deal. now everything seems right as rain. thanks guuys
