Back to the Sewer has ended, and to lessen the wait between the feature-length 25th Anniversary special coming this fall, 4Kids is bringing us several new TMNT shorts! When put together, these shorts will create a brand new continuing adventure for our favorite turtles. Think of it as a lost episode of Back to the Sewer.

It's new to me too.

I hope 4kids puts these shorts on their website for the people who don't want to sit through other shows to see them.

BTW did anyone else watch any of the 20 shorts on their site? Some are hilarious.
 
Two questions: will these shorts (or the FoxBox ones from a few years back)EVER get a DVD release? Is there any place to request 4Kids put these on some upcoming DVD version of Back to the Sewer or the third and fourth season of the original? How do we contact them?

Question two: What is this 25th anniversary special I keep hearing about? Is it a straight to DVD movie or a TV special? Will it follow the 2003 show's continuity? Why can't I find anything about it on Google?
 
-Wouldn't surprise me if they put it as an extra on the BTTS DVD set.

-TV special that will come to DVD in the fall. It is a different continuity.
 
I just watched the three shorts and there's nothing to get excited about. Its just the turtles fighting mutants and wearing the sports and monster hunting gear. This has been done so many times in the series that its lost all its appeal. There was even a season four short that was about the turtles fighting mutants.

I hope the next one focuses on something that hasn't been done to death and that people actually care about like maybe Rat King or some other character.
 
Although the shorts themselves are nothing special, I'm curious about the process that led to their creation, particularly given that several of its clips are in the show's opening. I was also curious what had happened to that pic of the turtles in their mutant gear that had appeared on the net before the season began, so glad to see it was used for something. Still, I'd appreciate this more if it were about characters other than the turtles. A series of mini-episodes focusing on how the supporting cast spent the one-year gap between Season 5 and 7 would be ace.

I wonder why they're advertise toys that are no longer on shelves. The sub sewer Turtles, and the mini-mutants are old toys from 2008.

Seems odd for them to make a short NOW about toys that kids can no longer buy on shelves.
