Episode 7.11 City Under Siege
Original air date: November 29, 2008

The beginning of the end of TMNT is upon us, the third to last episode of the season has aired. Thoughts?

Have yet too watch it. Waiting to go and get some lunch to bring home.

But are you listening 4kids? Very few properties can be around for 25 years, have two series, and STILL be interesting after this long a time. If you let it go a little past the 194 episodes of the original series, think of all the syndication money ;o)

Until we hear news that its renewed, its quite possible that this is the final season.

Its a shame if the designs were revamped for only 13 episodes, but what can you do. The show had a good run. Although I will admittedly be disappointed if it doesn't reach the original cartoon's episode count.

What do you mean these designs have only been used for 13 episodes? These are the same designs from Fast Forward. The turtles just don't have their futuristic weapons and stuff. I think that everything looks exactly the same as it did in Fast Forward. I would be fine if this is the last season. As I said in another thread, I think that the show should've ended after the Fast Forward season. Then they could've just used the upcoming DTV to have them come back from the future and wrap up any loose ends.

No there not, their using a cheaper budget for this season. Check out the TMNT blog and you'll see. When using the same design the artists just add different clothes or gear onto the original character model. For BttS every character got a new design. Compare a FF screenshot to a BttS one.

Anyway, this was the best episode of the season so far. It felt like a pre-FF episode and there were a bunch of cool moments throughout.

Yep, in that FF episode April and Casey looked the same as they did in 2k3, yet now April and Casey were redesigned.

I think 4kids said they're planning on airing it on TV split into 3 episodes. That doesn't have anything to do with the current season though, we don't even know what its about.

Yeah he have at least five episodes coming in 2009 and that's it, unless a new season is ordered.

Not a bad episode but well come on two episodes left, and only like a third of the characters we saw BTTS designs for have shown up yet. Does this mean in the final two episodes we will be getting Karai, the Justice Force, Mikey as Turtle Titan, Leatherhead, and Usagi and Gen in at the same basic time? Sure most of them will probably show up just for the weding that was already spoiled but still thats a lot of characters and we only have two episodes.

Anyway Every Turtles (But Ralf) has beaten Shredder in a 1on1 battle over the course of this show (Meaning 2k3 to now) Even if Mikey's victory was pretty much identical to how Splinter beat Shredder in "The Shredder Strikes"

I dunno,

I felt the fighting in this ep was kind of weak. Almost like a nightmare fight. You want to move fast and furious, but can't.

Other than that, the ep is kind of neat. I STILL want to know if the Demon Shredder and Utrom Shredder somehow make it into the show with the preview episode from Tempis Fugit

Also, no new ep for next week?

4kids is saving the last 2 eps of the season for after January I assume.

That along with the DTV which they said will be split into 3 episodes so they can air it on the channel is what we have. So technically there's 5 new episodes left.

The Cyber Shredder story ends though, the DTV probably has nothing to do with this season and is likely a separate story.

Is anyone else curious now that the Cyber Shredder has entered reality, what he is now? In cyber spacer he was basically a computer program, but what did he enter reality as? Is he like a cyborg now? Is he human? Is he an utrom with an exo-skeleton? I have absolutely no idea.

And what was he thinking displaying the foot logo all over town like that? With all the times that the mayor has been invited to foot HQ, he's gonna know exactly who was behind all that technological madness.

To put it simply, Cyber Shredder right now is like when Myotismon came into the real world in Digimon. He's solid, but he's still made of data.
