The film is about a tribe living deep underground - and they age very fast (a lifetime lasts 7 earth days).
One boy is chosen to travel to surface before he becomes an old man (by day 7) and send the light of sun to his people. As a reward he will get 10,000 days of life on the earth's surface.
On his journey, he encounters various obstacles - laser traps, trapdoors, even a gorilla like monster whom he must defeat in a chess-like game.
The film ends with the cry of the main character that every day, every hour, every minute on the surface of those 10,000 days would be the best for him
