Need new tires for my 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited 4x4. I live in Northwest PA where we get quite a bit of snow, and need something that will get me around this winter. I commute about 50 miles/day for work so I do quite a bit of driving, but don't do any off-roading, so I don't need an off-road performance tire. I do both highway driving as well as side roads...in the country, which sometimes don't get plowed. I want to get all-seasons, as I don't want to go through the hassle of dedicated winter tires.
Thinking of putting on either:
Goodyear Assurance TripleTred or
Firestone Destination A/T
I'm really open to suggestions on tires, as I'm kind of at a loss for what brand, type, etc. to put on. Any thoughts?
Also, is there a negative side to putting winter tires on it year-round? Winter tires seem to have better tread, obviously, and seem to be cheaper from what I've seen...
