We have had the car for 10 months now and we haven't had the tires rotated yet. It now has 18,000 miles on it we bought it new. We took it in for an oil change and the tires rotated and they said all 4 tires were abnormally worn and that we need new tires They are perfect in some spots and bald in others. My husband described it as bumps on the tires. They wouldn't rotate them. Our Warranty for the tires are 12,000 miles but if the car is causing the abnormal wear shouldn't the factory warranty cover new tires if it is the car that caused the problems. I am worried they are going to say it was us not having the tiers rotated yet. We have a 36,000 3 year Warrarnty on the car. I need advice.
The dealer said something about bad struts, Am I correct that a car with 18,000 miles shouldn't have bad tires to the point where they are bald in spots.
But what if it was the car that caused the problem?
We went to a dealer but not the one we bought it from. they told us they had never seen tires worn like that so it doesn't sound like the alignment to me because that would be common.
