Ever since Middle School, I've suffered from mild acne. I hate it. I don't get cysts, but I get some rather large pimples that will leave huge scabs and hurt for weeks. My face is also very oily, and I know that is a major contribution to my acne. I need something that will clear oil and acne. I have been to the doctor and dermatologist, and have been prescribed many creams. Does Olay soap work good for oil/acne? I have heard good things about it. What products would you recommend for oily skin that may also reduce acne? I really cannot do this anymore. It's caused depression and it's tough to deal with. As soon as I get my face cleared up, which it's never completely cleared up, it'll get disgusting again. My face is so oily and disgusting. Please help! I am desperate for some good advice. Tell me what helped you with your battle to get rid of these little monsters.

Hi Jessica1994 - My heart just breaks to hear that you are suffering with so many things that are on your face. It's so hard to feel pretty and confident when you know what's on your face!
I'm sure you've tried a lot of products, but here are the ones that have worked best for me:
Cetaphil products - Aveda products - Their acne line is called "Outer Peace". All of their products are made with natural ingredients. I've tried plenty of things and, although my skin isn't great everyday, my skin is better than it has been since I was in high school. Good luck!

Jessica,
I have had the EXACT same problem as you. My acne started around 6th grade, around the time of my period too. It kept getting worse and worse, and freshman year my skin had finally cleared up. When it came to Sophomore year, the acne had started again. I went to a dermatologist, and they gave me face wash and put me on medicine. It never worked, and I finally gave up on it, and just went to washing my face twice a day. My skin has cleared up a little, but I am still left with scarring. I find it erabarassing, but other people say it's not as bad as I think.
I was reading Seventeen Magazine yesterday, and it said for troubled acne, and scarring, try using anti-aging skin cream with a little bit of retinol. I'm going to start trying it, and I will let you know if it works!
But, just be happy, and stress-free, and that will also help clear your skin up! :)
