Tire widths for Camry 14" rims?

The current tires are 195/70/14. 195 is the width in millimeters. On the same rims, can I mount narrower or wider, say 175s up to 210s?

Your stock tire size is P195/70R14 90S at 30 psi. A narrower tire such as P175/70R14 84S will fit but as it is much smaller your speedometer and odometer will be very inaccurate, your gearing will be off resulting in much lower gas mileage, traction will be significantly reduced increasing your chances of an accident and most importantly the smaller tires have a smaller load carrying capacity - they are made for a smaller, lighter car than your Camry. It will be like driving around with the correct tires under-inflated by 5 psi - and we all know what happens to under-inflated tires (I hope).

There is no wider size you can use on this vehicle without running into problems either as anything wider in a 14" tire size is also going to be taller, which causes its own problems. I guess we really need to know WHY you want to change tire sizes? What are you trying to accomplish? I can make good recommendations if I know what you are after but right now that isn't clear.
