Tire Repair

I've been researching this subject for awhile. Read about Slime, Genuine Innovations, BMW kits, CruzTools. Pros/Cons of injecting some liquid into your tires.

I would be interested to hear from someone who as actually had a flat on the road and fixed it, what you used, and how it worked.

My son used some of that stuff in his tires and he didn't drive for quite awhile and the stuff hardened and threw his tires way way out of balance because it hardened while it was sitting. Be sure you get going right away. It is a life saver though as long as you follow the directions.

I used a cord plug in my sons CBR600f2 rear tyre and one CO2 cylinder to inflate it to about 10PSI ( roughly) We rode 6 miles (slowly)to a garage and inflated it to the correct pressure and then did a further 900 miles over the next 5 days with no change in pressure and the tyre was fine for the next couple of months. I have used these about 6 times in car tyres and not had any abnormal loss of pressure or other problems with the tyre till it wore out.
