The recommended pressure is 32 psi. When I checked the pressure, the gauge showed 38-41 psi for all tires. However, the car feels under-inflated and the tires look under-inflated. What could be the problem?
I assume you checked the tire pressure when the tires were cold? Also you may have a bad gage. Also some tires look this way, but just be sure you are accurately checking the pressure first. Having 4-5 lbs over recommended is OK and may improve your gas mileage. Just do not exceed the max for the tire rating. This value is on the tire itself if you look closely.
