Tips to ensure a orderly PS3 wait?

I want to camp out, but wondering which retailers have the best 'line' policies. My buddies camped out for the Xbox, and said that the manager just opened the doors, and people ran and shoved everyone.

But then I hear about places that hand out wrist bands etc.
 
Circuit City hands out tickets (print-outs) with a barcode about an hour-2 hours before opening and tells everyone in line that they have 1 hour after opening to pick-up their system before the ticket becomes void. But CC is also known for fucking with people and bundling with shitty games, that they know won't sell, just so they can move them off the shelves. And from my PSP experience there they won't accept any launch system returns if the box has been opened (regardless of reason) and won't exchange for defects unless you purchase their "protection plan".
