I brought a leather lounge from a second hand shop. Its in perfect condition except it smells a little funny. I have brought a deep cleaner for it but the smell is still there. Is there any advice on getting rid of the old and dusty smell?

I don't know about the musty smell, but if you ever get any mildew on it use vasoline. Put it on for four or five hours and then wipe off. May have to do it more than once.

I would turn it upside down, and spray the underside with fabreze or some sort of odor remover.

Murphy's Oil soap has a great smell and is safe for use with leather.

I'll be honest when i say, i've used soapy ammonia on my leather before and it didn't hurt it.... i used about 1 cup to a gallon of water. Then i washed it with Murphy's afterward.

You need to use a specialist enzyme cleaner called Em Clean. This will help eradicate any smell and kill any bacteria causing it. It has also been tested on leather and is safe. The smell may be in the innards of the suite and if possible this should be cleaned as well.

Please do not use murphy's oil (totally unsuitable on todays leather and will not get rid of any smells.)
Saddle soap (as above)
Vaseline (!!!!!!) Totally bizarre and positively damaging to clothes etc. as well as not good for the leather.
