I just moved into a house with several other guys and I have my own bedroom! It's pretty small, but I'm excited to personalize it and make it my own. I'm just not sure how to go about doing that.
I want my room to be neat and clean. I also want it to be welcoming and inviting. Finally, I want it to be personalized. The walls are all white and so right now, when it's neat and clean, the room just has a very sterile feel. I don't want it to be cluttered and messy though.
Painting is out (as specified by the landlord), but I'm open to any other suggestions.
I need to put stuff up on my walls, but I have two questions about that. First, a poster just tacked to a wall looks, well, tacky. How can I avoid that? Second, I don't want to just put something up because it "looks cool." I want things that are relevant to me. Whenever I go to a poster sale, all they have are posters of pretty landscapes, movie posters, the eiffel tower, Audrey Hepburn, Rocky, Kramer, the kiss after WWII, etc. None of which are relevant to me. Suggestions?
Thanks for your thoughts.
