Tip for salesmen?

Steve -- good for you!
I regularly bring "stuff" for our auto and bike mechanics. Beer, Wine or buy 3 or 4 pizzas for the guys. I don't care what a person does for a living, everyone appreciates a little recognition for a job well done.
I haven't said a single negative thing to anyone yet on this site, but you cheap guys are something else.

Hmmm? Let me think on this one. No didn't think so.... Sorry Steve, you have got to be kidding???!!! First of all, when I pick up my 1098S at my local dealer, which is about 40 miles from my house, I am going to "ride" the bike away. And I have already discussed the expected discount on any extras I buy over the $20K just spent. I like Aviddigi's pizza celebration with the shop personnel and I am in a similar situation where I am working overseas and have bought my bike sight unseen. The dealer has been fantastic and also agrees to keep my bike in storage until I return home for vacation in September.... back to the tip idea.... Were alcoholic beverages involved when this idea of a tip came to mind? I have a tip for ya! Don't buy the bike! After buying the bike it would end up parked in the garage or the living room for months at a time and 3 years later with a minimalist amount of miles on the clock, you would decide to sell it coz "you never have time to ride." That always makes me wonder why someone buys a bike in the first place. Let's ride!!! Tip, blip!!! Blip the throttle and hear that great Ducati sound and you will be riding!!! Cheers All!

After studying Moto1098S' post for some time, I think I finally understand. It goes like this:

1. Moto is driving his bike out of the dealership.
2 . Moto expects a discount on "extras."
3 Moto likes pizza.
4 . Moto works in another country.
5 . Moto bought his bike "sight unseen."
6. Moto isn't picking his bike up until September.
7. Alcholol induces tipping.
8. Steve shouldn't buy a bike.
9. Steve doesn't have time to ride.
10. Moto always wonders why some people buy bikes.
11. Ducatis sound "great."

A string of nonsequitors. Very Helpful.
