Around the early hours of this past Monday. I awoke instantly out of my sleep for no particular reason. I then noticed my right arm had this tingly feeling as if I'd slept on it the wrong way. Which I didn't, I slept on my left side that night and had my right arm stretched above my head. I tried to shake the feeling but I noticed it wouldn't subside. Soon pain started to shoot through my shoulder and on down my arm through my finger tips. The tingly feeling shot only through my fingers at that time. That following day I went ahead to the ER because I thought maybe I wasn't getting enough circulation to my arm. Once I saw a doctor he told me that I was having muscle spasms so he prescribed Flexeril (10mg) & Naproxen (500 mg). I've been taking them both since and it doesn't seem to be helping. Now my right fingers have become swollen. And I'm still having the tingly feeling in my fingers, and pain past my elbow on up to my right shoulder. Sometimes the entire arm is in pain. What should I do, and what is wrong w/ my arm? I've never had any other health problems this far. I'm a 20 year old African American female, diabetes, muscular sclerosis, stroke, &high blood pressure are in my family. (If this will help answer the question)
