Can anyone tell me if anxiety can cause mild tingling in your hand and foot only one side. I had a stroke May last year and I panick over everything, I have High Blood Pressure which caused the stroke, and when i am anxious that goes up once i calm myself down the bp comes down. I think i only notice the tingling in my right side as the stroke affected my left side and that tingles all the time

Yes it can and I actually I think its a pretty common anxiety symptom. Over the years I have experienced it many times and often used to worry if I'am having a stroke myself.

For me the tingling has been all over the place over the years. In my head, my hanRAB, feet, just one hand, etc...

Even as I'm replying here I'm getting the sensation of tingling in the bottom of my feet.

Thank you for answering me, I'm sorry I have set your foot off. Anxiety is a nasty thing it's awful when you see dragons in the hedge I'm terrible always see the bad side of things when I go to the Doctors I always convice myself it's bad news it's awful. I am beginning to think that I have strained my arm and it has pinched a nerve as I had to hold our Westie in the car he is built like Mike Tyson and terrified of car travel I had to hold him in my right arm as he was panicking and I think now thats whats done it, but because I had a stroke thats all I could think of it had to be that. My foot I think is because I over worked my leg trying to keep up with the crowd in our town (stupid) and I have strained my calf. Well thats what I'm hoping anyway. I hope your foot has improved now. Thank you.

I get tingling when I feel anxious, usually along the backs of my hanRAB and forearms.

Unilateral symptoms don't seem that uncommon- I used to get nurabness in one side of my body only mostly hand and foot, sometimes face and scalp. It baffled the doctors who tested me for everything, including stroke and/or TIAs (only in my 30s) but didn't find anything.
