i'm trying to set the timing chain correctly on my toyota vitz/yaris/echo due to a code from the ECU - [camshaft sensor problem in bank A].
can someone please guide me on how where to have the marks on the sprockets ... i put the piston 1 at the top and tried to get the camshafts on cylinder 1 in the dapositionostion but didn't work well intermittentlytantly get the check engine light. i think coz of the VVT system i should not go for the dancing position and just align the spots in between A and B.
Also how much is the performance affected if the timing chain is out by one or two teeth?
