For instance: In Back To The Future, when Marty got into the DeLorien Time Machine and went back to 1955, once he hit 88 miles per hour and went back to 1955 he would be in outer space somewhere close to the orbit of Pluto (or further)-maybe even outside our galaxy depending on how fast our galaxy and our sun are moving in relation to a stationary point in space-time.
