Tim & Lyla (FNL) - Because she is the best he has ever had

Exactly. And the thing that annoyed me the most was how JK sort of transfered TL's story onto Tim/Tyra. She waltzes back into town, sleeps with Tim, but they both know she's going back to school because she has dreams. Um... didn't we see that already?! And it was done WAY better the last time. Because Tyra has always whined about getting out of Dillon and not ending up some townie. Rinse and repeat. Lyla has never said such a thing. It would make more sense for Tim and Lyla's dreams to somehow collide in the future. Because that has been the one thing standing in their way.

^^I agree, Lyla has been turned upside down. Everything she depended on and expected had changed. Jason's accident, her affair with Tim, and her parents splitting up. Lyla was all over the place and she had no idea what she wanted. Plus she didn't want anymore problems and thought getting involved with Tim would mean that.

how she's the one that initiated the hug, and how she stares after him when he leaves, no one can tell me it was just sex for her and she didn't even like him.

that's one thing, though, the tt shippers can claim they got endgame and it justified their "tim and tyra are the same" theories all they want, they can never say he really loved tyra more than lyla. because there is no contest. when tyra and lyla were both around in s1-3, it was always lyla he was in love with and wanted more. that's why they were so glad to hear lyla wasn't coming back in s5. because that was the only way tim/tyra had a chance.

It was out of nowhere. I mean, I get it, it's been about a year since they last saw each other. They went their seperate ways. But when Tim had been in love with her for the entire show, it's not something that you can easily write off like it didn't matter. Or somehow rekindle the NOTHING he had with Tyra way back in season one. It doesn't make sense. Especially given the fact that Tim is working at Buddy's restaurant. Lyla's father. And still no mention? Seriously? It's not even realistic. Jason Katims deliberately left Lyla out of it just to bring Tyra back. And that was a dirty move, IMO.

Didn't know TL had a thread here!! Can I be added to the list please? :D

Still have to watch seasons 4 and 5 but these two are already my FNL OTP.

Lyla and Tim's love should've at least gotten acknowledged. Tim's relationship with Lyla was such a turning point within his life. She inspired him to become a better person and shape up while he taught her to let loose and have a little fun. They are the main reasons each other was able to learn and grow as much as they did. :)

Even Becky could tell that Lyla was the love of Tim's life, plus he confirmed this. How could the love of his life not even get a mention :( I just felt him and Tyra were out of nowhere..they hadn't interacted in over a year.

that girl didn't know what she wanted in the first two seasons. she wanted tim but she didn't want to want tim. so her solution was to deny any feelings and just jump him.
