Saw this for the first time this weekend and was completely enchanted. It was so unusual, absolutely stunning visually, and very sweet and funny as well as sad. Lovely music too. I loved the way everything started off all bleak and colourless, bursting into vibrant colours as soon as Victor found himself among the dead characters.

An absolutely captivating story, delightfully made...I can't recommend it highly enough. Any other fans here? I couldn't find another thread on it, but it definitely deserves one!

I love this film too. I love Tim Burton, the way he creates things are so unusually captivating. I cannot wait for Alice in wonderland soon!

Yes, I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even heard of it before. I wonder why it wasn't given a more prominent Christmas slot? It may have been a bit scary for very young children, but it would have been a nice viewing treat for Christmas Day or Boxing Day...much better than most of the tripe that was on the box! :)

I really loved it. Can't believe I hadn't been aware of it before.

I seem to remember it was released one Halloween alongside one of the Saw films. Me and Mum were one of a few dozen people watching this instead and we both loved it.

You see I hate the Tim Burton / Johnny Depp combo (hated Charlie + TCF, didn't bother with Sweeney Todd and will avoid Alice in Wonderland like the plague), however, I did enjoy this film, probably because I couldn't see Johnny Depp. H.B-C. was as annoying as ever, but the rest of the cast were great and I loved the music and the story.
