TIF procedure

Has anyone had the TIF procedure or has heard about it? Good? Bad? I am strongly considering this option. As long as it does not make it worse, why not? Have been on presciption meRAB for longer than 10 years as well as dietary choices positive for GERD.

I am scheduled to have the TIF this coming Friday. I have two major concerns..neither of them have to do with the procedure. What can I eat on this liquid diet for 6 weeks afterwarRAB and will my insurance pay for it. My doctor's office is rather "flip" about the insurance company. Should I call them direct? He's also very vague about the diet afterwarRAB. He gave me a single sheet of paper with about 20 intems on it...there must be more!

I would definetaly call your insurance company before hand so there are no surprises after the fact. Continue to question the Dr. or his nurse for unanswerd questions. You have to be your own advocate....no one will do it for you. Good luck.
