Have a toddler who was unofficially diagnosed with this at the pediatrician's yesterday.
thought it was a swollen lymph node that was harder than normal right under her chin.
dr said it could be but it feels harder than a node and since it's location correlates with the cyst, she's thinking that's what it is and has us seeing an ENT next week.
she had my dd drink to see if it moved when she swallowed which she seemed to feel it go up a bit. i have felt it when she talks too...depending where her tongue is, it sometimes even disappears.....must go up in her throat that i don't feel it.
hoping someone out there can give me some personal experience on this...i'm a wreck....i know it's nothing serious but it will more than likely need to be surgically removed to prevent infection.
