Thumbs Up For Shift-Tech

Orderd a CF tank protecter and sprocket cover. When the invoice was emailed to me, it only showed the CF sprocket cover. I emailed Shift-Tech of the missing item, he quickly replied and informed me the order just had the cover (which already shipped) with no record of the CF tank protecter. .. Now somewhere either computer hic-up or most likely operator error (me) caused this screw-up.. I asked them to place the order for the CF tank protector, which they did and didn't charge me the extra shipping for the second pkg via Express mail.. Not many vendors will do that. that was the extra mile that should be mentioned when there's so much gloomy reporting about service out there..

Btw.. Parts are awesome..

Thanks Shift-Tec

I'll one-up you on your story. Guido read a posting I made about how happy I was with my CF hugger from Shift-Tech. In the posting I wrote what I had paid for the hugger. He sent me a PM and told me I qualified for a discount because of membership to a Ducati list and sent me back $39.39 of what I already paid him. Guido made me a permanent, loyal customer with that move!

+1 as well. I've ordered the vent inserts, tank guard, and rear hugger. Guido has been great to deal with both on the phone and email.

He even emailed me when I ordered the hugger to say he was out of the 848, but did have one with a miniscule mark on it. He wanted to know if I wanted that one or wait. So he emailed me pics, I took the one with the defect and it came the next day.

Just to let you know the miniscule mark is in the curve where the exhaust sits. Can't even freakin see it. But he cared enough to ask me first. Other places would have just sent it.

Big Thanks to Guido!

That's correct.....have ordered many carbon parts from Guido at Shift-Tech and his customer service is exemplary. he always takes the time to explain, suggest, and offer back where he can. Love doing business with him.

Thanks Guido and thanks Shift-Tech!

Normally on my other bikes I would have gotten something like this...

http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=LET_LT70009&tier2=3139

...but, those were totally different bikes (95' 900RR, 2000 R1, 2003 RC51). This is my first Duc and I have been looking for items like this for protection and to help my riding comfort(right now I try everything not to lean on the tank so I dont scratch it ...which in turn doesnt help wrist and hand issues). I can see this protector in my near future.

I have found great info here so far and its nice to have sponsors that treat forum members well.
