Thruster or quad fish surfboard, which should I get?

My Allen white shortboard just got completely waterlogged today so now I'm lookin for a new shortboard. I live in Florida an surf at cocoa beach mainly. I am 5'11" tall and weigh 170. I was looking at this KG 5'8" quad fish, but I've never ridden a quad before, how do they ride? I'm either going to get the quad fish or an al merrick thruster. I wantsomething fast and that turns well. Which should I get?
 
If it is speed and maneuverability that you are looking for, get the quads. I have picked up a quad and will ride them for ever. They can be weird to get used to because they are so fast, but you will love them when you get used to it. They are great boards. I would suggest the quad, but talk about it with the shop that you are buying it from to see if it is good for what you are looking for.
