Throat problem

Hope someone can shed some light on this. For weeks now I have had this prickling and stabby sensation in my thoat. It rotates from one side of my thoat to the other..It creates this poking feeling that gags me and I am constantly coughing to try and clear it. My doctor throws his hands up in the air cause he cannot figure what it is. I have all kinds of allerygy tests. Have gone to nose and throat doctor and nothing shows up. It makes me feel miserable and I do not get any sleep because of this. Right now I am taking allergy with no results. Hope someone can help and Thank You.
 
Mammykins: The allergies is what I suspect. I have post nasal drip and it drives me crazy. I have to suck on chloraseptic lozenges alot. Are you sleeping with a fan or the A/C? That makes my throat really dry. Ragweed is out right now too. Have you tried nasal sprays? Have you been tested for strep throat? I know in Sjogren's Syndrome it's dry eyes and dry throat that are the main issues. There's a board on here for that.

Do you still have your tonsils? I hope you find some answers. Good luck
 
Any headaches, back aches? Muscle spasms in the neck and shoulders can feel like a tightening or stabbing sensation in the throat.

(I have it right now, my computer chair is killing me! :p)
