Throat Lozenges

Does anybody get any relief from throat lozenges. I have found that Strepsils Cool (which have a mile aneasthetic) seem to take the burning away. Nothing else does, including Gaviscon etc. I have been on PPI's since 11 Sept. ENT recently doubled my dose for a month but 3 weeks in I am not feeling too much better. Good days and bad days :-)
