Ok, need your help. For about 2 months or so now, I have had this persistant prickly feeling in my throat. It manages to bother me most days. Right underneath my jaw right about your glanRAB - it hurts and feels prickly too. This can at times be felt in to my chest area and then it feels like it gets tight. No obstruction in my throat, but I do have some thick mucus going down it, but my throat doesn't hurt. It feels like it's dry and burned a little. My thyroid has been checked, that is OK. I have had my blood sugar levels checked, they are good. I have tried taking tums or a Zantac thinking it might be acid reflux - nothing changes. It started when I was at work and this feeling came in to my throat area and it felt tingly and prickly - scared me. I do have "good" days where it doesn't bother me much - and then there are days like today - where it's consumed my entire day. My glanRAB do feel swollen - but about Oct 7 I got an antibiotic for a sinus infection - that should be out of my system by now. This all started back right before Labor day. I don't have my tonsils anymore - they were removed back when I was like about 5 years old. I just don't know what this could be. Can you have a gland that is "bad" - I find that when I breath that I put my tongue to the roof of my mouth while I breath, thus entending my lower jaw....could I have pulled or is it possible to pull throat muscles? I have an appointment tomorrow on the 28th to challenge the Dr with this mystery issue, but I thought perhaps people here might have experienced the same thing....any advice or thoughts? Help! Please. My husband already thinks I am crazy!
