Any recommendations for some movies I may have missed?
Got a few BBuster vouchers and was looking to rent something in the above genres.

Types I like

Butterfly Effect
Donny Darko
Premonition

Final Destination was ok (but ones not as icky)

Liked Man on Fire, Arlington Road as well

Don't mind some of the tacky teen type Urban Legend films also:)

Also if anyone knows if 'In Dreams' and 'Deja Vu' are worth a look?

Didn't like Vanilla Sky or Eternal Spot....:(

How can you not like Eternal Spot...

I was going to recommend Memento and Mulholland Drive as good twist turners. Or Rosemary's Baby, Blood Simple, The Last Broadcast, and Session 9. But it sounRAB like maybe you want more popcorn choices...(no bad thing of course).

I really liked Session 9 and have championed the film on these boarRAB in the past. But I seem to be in the minority, so it is good to hear that you liked the film. :)

I was very disappointed in Brad Anderson's follow-up, The Machinist though.

Any other recommendations JF?

Don't look now stars Donald Sutherland

Fantasy wise Pans Labyrinth

A bit of a surreal film described as 90210 on acid is Nowhere which is part of a trilogy, I think it was the last film of the trilogy the previous being The Doom Generation, both i've seen and were really good but not seen the remaining film in the installmant.

The Doom Generation

Deja Vu just went right over my head, it was a right brain pickler...

But you've gotta see The Departed! Aside from Pursuit of Happyness it was the best film I've seen so far this year.

I think you'd probably like Cypher; a paranoid sci-fi industrial espionage thriller made by the Cube director (IMDB doesn't give it a particularly good review, but I thought it was a great film)
A really head-screwing-up one is Primer; a no-budget ($5,000) independent film about some guys who build a time travel travel machine.
Open Your Eyes was the original film that Vanilla Sky was a remake of - it's much better than Vanilla Sky, but now you've seen VS there's not much point watching the original.
The Others, starring Nicole Kidman & directed by the same guy who made Open Your Eyes is excellent - very scary spooky psychological stuff.

Dead End is a good psycholgical horror.
And They.

Oooh, Jessica - Are you a David Lynch fan?
I'm thinking of starting a Mulholland Drive interpretation thread, but worried that no one will be interested.

Cheers Thinboy :)
I've seen The Others and really liked it, didn't watch straight away as I saw it starred Nicole Kidman and i've always found her a bit wooden but I have to admit it was a very good film, i'll take a look at the other films listed, nice one.

Edit: I've enjoyed the Lynch films that i've seen so far, they were.
Mulholland Drive
Blue Velvet
Lost Highway
Dune
The Elephant Man

Never seen Twin Peaks though.
