A Song of Ice and Fire is probably my favorite book series. In my opinion, this is probably the best fantasy series released. It at least kicks the crap out of the half-a** fantasy books being released lately. My only concern is whether he'll actually complete the last 3 books before he dies!
I enjoy him because of his intricate plots, great characters, and the fact that none of his characters, no matter how attached we get to him/her, is safe from death. (Stephanie Meyer, take note!)
I also enjoy how the line between good and evil is constantly blurred throughout the story.
I also enjoy that each of his books are 1000 pages long.. Assuming he doesn't die first, there's going to be 7 books. That's a lot of juicy fantasy.
