Crazy Ed: In America "Debate" and Compromise is supposedly "good" - at least that is the premise of those who created the Constitution.
Toxic Panduh: As an American citizen you buy into the idea of being an American. Along with that comes certain rights and responsibilities. If you cherish your freedom, it also goes the other way - respect, healthy debate & compromise. I would guess that the name calling, shouting over, gun toting folks are good examples of behavior that is objectionable to most reasonable people. An "anything goes" philosophy brings to 3rd world nation levels.
Bill G IV: Ayers is one person & one could say that he does not represent much but a small minority. There have been more than a "few" shouters as you state. (see above response to Panduh, please.)
Are we adopting a 3rd world mentality? Are we not better than this?
