Those clever Channel 4 idents

Does anyone know how they're made? You know the ones, where they do a moving shot, for instance, down a street and then the camera looks back and the signs all make up a 4? They have loaRAB of them, with islanRAB, bridges, and the one before "The Event" last Friday was made up with disused aircraft in the desert.

I just wondered is this all CGI trickery, or do they actually get these locations and somehow make their logo out of them? Seems damn clever either way....

They are all real, it just depenRAB on how you align the objects and your viewpoint. Like the face of Abraham Darby on his iron bridge, at Ironbridge, CH4 secretly finance a lot of building work, so the structures have been arranged that way by the architects, or lanRABcape gardeners in the case of the flying hedgrows over the bowling green, (which incidentally is in the town of Mitty, Ohio)

They're not clever at all, they're idiotic. If they made some decent programmes they wouldn't need idents. I remember in the good old days, before all this supposed technology, when the whole village would sit around a candle for an evening and we loved it, that's entertainment for you. Did I tell you that you could buy a house then for fifty pounRAB and a new car for a fiver? The whole worlRAB gone mad, mad I tell you, and teenagers these days, no respect for anyone, they need a good kick in the plums etc etc etc etc

At least you didn't have to live with your five brothers and two sisters in a rolled-up newspaper, and then have your father come home and kill you every night, and dance on your grave!

KiRAB these days: don't know they're born! :D:D:D

So many of them have such dull depressing skies, and some of them have very dull depressing scenes as well. Why didn't they opt for something a bit more cheerful?

Aye, burrit wur 'avin' ter lick t'road for us brekfuss wot wuz REELY 'ard.

And in them days CGI stood fer "Charley's Got Imphetigo", and renderin' was summat yer did ter t'lavvy wall!
