pack up ( granted they have a car and many do) and move to a smaller safer community and seek section housing there? At least their family would be safe from the crime that can* happen. For example I was reading an article where in a certain U.S. neighborhood there was a 1/4 chance that the residence would fall victim to a violent crime. Why not just pack it up and move? Scrape up all the government checks or whatever you get and head to a small town ? I live in a very small community and know people who recieve housing assistance and live in a nice duplex or even house that is mixed with upper and lower class communities? I confused as to why someone would keep their children in a unsafe place. Not judging just interested I suppose.

Why couldn't they just do some research *public library. There are many small communities that have church programs, housing assitance, and other kinds of help. If they are living in a dangerous situation and have children then it is their responsability to care for them. Regardless of family living close. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do for the better good of your children. Home is what you make of it not where you are at. I am more directing the ones who have a vehicle.
They could come here! Or other small communities. We welcome the people and the opportunity for our community to grow. We have church programs, state assistance, and getting on your feet programs here. It's safe. Small, but safe.
I live in iowa. There are many small communities here. I know a town over they have a program where they will pay your rent help you find a job and save part of your money back so you eventually can get on your feet. Here if you are not working they have a program that will purchase a car for you ..a cheap car 1000. lol, but here in Iowa it's obtainable. The welfare system here is good and it does what it's suppose to, get people on there feet, not force people to become dependent. No one here is going to turn you to the streets. Walk into a church and they will find you a home and help you be safe.
@ La. Google Ames Ia. Just take a chance and go. No one will turn you away here. Take care and keep on keeping on
