This is not a sonnet, but would it help if someone added a last couplet?

If you are chilled by my neglect,
please let me know, with due respect.
Of all my faults, it is the lack
of attention; the holding back,
as thoughts stray- the abandonment
of gestures sincere in sentiment-
that I regret. I am reticent. My plea
to you is that you think of me.
I suppress perhaps to shield;
I treasure trust, yet do not yield
to vows unwary. I carry the load
of promises sundered, thousandfold.

Please leave my syllable count and meter alone for now. Just play nice. Condescend or something LOL
