I'm kind of scared guys, I'm reaching out for some help....please don't mind the long post.
I'm a 23 year old female first and foremost, my name is Penny.
A few weeks back, I pinched a nerve in my back which caused it to go nurab. After going from one ER doc to another and them always telling me to rest, I finally found one that actually took an xray and guided me to go to physio....everything with that is perfectly normal almost now. I did have a series of aniexty attacks from it though....not getting better, being fusterated with doctors and whatnots and ever since then, it seems I have symptoms of GERD. I never got bad aniexty attacks like that before.
I could barely eat for weeks and have had a dry cough to the point of gagging that penicillin hasn't helped. I do not have heartburn but my throat always has a weird sensation in it/itchy and hoarse/lump in the back. I never loose my voice, even with a killer cold but I find myself constantly clearing my throat. I'd be getting sharp pains around my tummy that wouldn't last very long and upper chest pains on the left near my breast. I also had some heavy heart thumping in my chest that didn't seem to last long but it was still really scary. Before the meRAB, sometimes it feels like I couldn't take a deep breath.
After numerous of doctors telling me it was my nerves blah blah blah....I finally got put on Ranitidine, which did help a little. Going back again, I got put on 10mg of previcid and 30 mg of lansoprazole which has helped a little more. I find that I don't get the chest pains anymore and I can eat a little more. My stools have been a little light and loose though.
I've had blood tests on my thyroid and vitamins which came back normal, the only one they didn't get back was my b-12. I've had a chest x-ray and a EKG which came back normal too.
If I do have this, will my throat ever feel completely better? Will I ever have normal hunger again?
I just got a ultrasound done....I'm so scared about results guys, thinking I have every cancer know to man...I'm feel a little better but I never had anything wrong with me before this....a little insight? Do you think this may be GERD? I know you aren't doctors but I can only almost hope it is since it seems that people can live with it. I have a man I'm marrying next month and a very selfish cat and I'm very scared about leaving them behind.
