i just got a gas powered yamaha golf cart from a friend. and it tells me that i have to turn the key on and then press on the gas peddle for it to start up. but he said the key wires or something burned up and he had to wire up a toggle switch to turn it on and off. now if i turn the toggle switch on the starter will spin and start the moter and if i turn the switch off it goes dead? so if i leave the switch on so it will run want the starter still be spinning and mess something up???
