This guy found out i liked him! please read! i need help!?

My friends told the guy i like that i liked him, and well yea. then when i wasn't there they asked him if he liked me, and he said idk, and they asked if he could give yes or no, but all he said was idk.. they said he did it with a small smile.. also they said before that he was with his friend, and his friend came up to them and asked them if i liked him... grr. and now he doesn't talk to me anymore.... my friend who's in my P.E class (hes in PE class) says he does stare sometimes at me... but he doesn't talk to me like he used to.... does that mean he doesn't like me and that's why hes avoiding me or what? please help! he used to always come up to talk to me, and saying weird stuff! everything is awkward! help! thank u!
