I live in the U.S. at the moment and I'm 16 years old. I plan on joining the U.S. army for a few years to get some money, or maybe a college education through the army. But after that I want to move to England because I love England.
But I was thinking that if I did move there, I would want to join the British army but I was wondering if there are any restrictions on how long you have to live in the UK or how long you have had to be a UK citizen before you can join the army or if it's open to new immigrants? Also if anyone could list things that I'll need to become a citizen, I know I'll need a visa, and I.D. and that stuff.
Any help will be much appreciated, thanks!
