Thinking of getting a Toyota Yaris...What do ya think?

I am a college student looking to buy my first vehicle. I don't need anything off-the-wall or too expensive. I pay my own tuition. I am looking at the Yaris. I just need something fuel-efficient and economical. I have seen guys driving these so i am not worried about the image aspect. I am a mountain biker and i do a lot of hiking as well. I've heard it is spacious as well. I am 6'3. I would be appreciative of your thoughts. I like the 5-door hatchback.
 
Fuel Efficient!!!! Not to mention they have good room, and are small. Perfect for a student!

My wife was considering a Yaris as well. If you want something fuel efficient and economical, I'd suggest the Nissan Versa instead because of your height. Fuel usage is about the same and its MSRP is a little lower. It also has a 5 door hatch version.
Still... 6'3 is pushing it in a Yaris. You should be able to drive comfortably in a Versa without losing any quality or value.
