Failure At life

Hi, I'm currently a mechanical engineering major, and to be honest, so far, I've kind of struggled with it so far. My GPA is a little above a 3.0 (not bad but I could definitely do better), and after taking some courses related to engineering, I think I'm starting to realize that this might not fit me. I mean, I'm struggling with the most basic calculus and physics, what makes you think I can actually be an engineer when the harder stuff is thrown at me?
Anyways, I was an athlete back in high school, and am still very well involved with sports, and I know a little bit about working out and nutrition (just a little though). So I was thinking that I could switch to pre-med kinesiology? My dream before college was to be either a strength/conditioning coach for a university or a physical therapist.
Anyways, is this a direction I should go? I'm still very much into engineering but I'm not going to lie, I've been struggling with it thus far. Does kinesiology have a good job outlook? Is it a good way to get into med school? I understand that it probably won't be any easier than engineering, but this is what I'm more passionate about. I'm getting a lot of different feedback. And no, I don't want to go into kinesiology to be a P.E. teacher. And no, I did the research, kinesiology is the furthest thing from "gym class."
